Bethesda Is Teasing Something, But It’s Not Fallout 4
When Bethesda announced earlier this week that they were aiming to make more noise this year, the inner fanboy in me scream “Fallout 4!” The project has been rumoured to be in development for a while now, apparently being set in Boston. Then came this teaser, and the prospect of a new Fallout seemed all but confirmed.
The little clip below was released by Bethesda to tease a new title coming from the publisher soon. The clip shows some barbed wire followed by a spinning 33 1/3 LP by The Moonlight Trio and George Shackley. There are also some flashes of Johann Sebastian Bach, which was featured on the Fallout 3 soundtrack.

Sounding good right? That’s what the world thought too, until the question was actually asked to Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines on Twitter. When confronted with the question of whether or not this new tease was in any way Fallout related, Hines replied, “guess again”.
Look, I have no doubt that we’ll eventually see a new Fallout title considering the enormous critical success of Fallout 3 and it’s subsequent sequel Fallout: New Vegas, but I think many of us were hoping this was the first of many teasers for it. With Fallout ruled out many sources are suggesting that this could then be a tease for Project Zwei, the survival horror game in development by Resident Evil designer Shinji Mikami.
Or, it could really be Fallout related and Bethesda is just misdirecting us, all Hideo Kojima style. A man can dream.
