Aliens: Colonial Marines Cancelled For Wii U
No, it’s not one of those moments where you again wonder to yourself why on earth you bought a Wii U. Those moments come every morning when you wake up already, I wouldn’t want to add to that. Instead, this is rather good news for Wii U owners, who now will not be tempted in the slightest to purchase the lying, cheating title that is Alien: Colonial Marines.
Sega has confirmed that the project has been cancelled after weak sales on other platforms. Well, it’s not exactly what they said, but I’m sure that’s what they mean in the press release below.

“We are constantly looking at all areas of our business and in this case have made the decision to not continue development of the Wii U version. Rest assured that we have some fantastic developments for Wii U in the pipeline which we will announce at a later date.”
Hear that Wii U owners, Sega still loves you. Just not right now.
Aliens: Colonial Marines came under huge fire after release from critics and consumers alike, with many claiming that Sega and Gearbox Software scammed gamers with unreliable gameplay footage and screenshots that did not reflect the final product. Having reviewed the game myself, I can definitely sympathize with anyone who got swindled into pre-ordering this.
