Picture unrelated but it does show a kid brandishing a gun
We’ve heard the media blame video games for violence before, we’ve heard it so many times it’s practically a trope by now. What we haven’t really heard is the violent offender in question blame video games for their psychological defects and demons.

A 14 year old boy from Washington shot both his parents with a gun from his father’s firearm cabinet. Both were badly injured with his mother stable but requiring further surgery. When asked why he did it, the youth told police that video games made him that way. Games made him violent. I didn’t know Orphan Simulator V was out.
In a police report obtained by iFiberOne News, the youth reportedly said he had quit playing games because “he thought they were making him more violent”.
His violent assault occurred an unspecified time after his parents enacted an electronics ban as a punishment, before which he says he played games “24/7″.
The real motivation behind his attempted murder of his parents? he was made to do chores and play basketball on Saturdays. So goes the report anyway. The boy has an alleged history of instability and poor behaviour. Prosecutors have requested the boy be tried as an adult on two counts of attempted murder.
There is no link between video games and violence, this is effectively an assured fact. Whether these people were decent parents or not is unknown but what I can say without a doubt is that this boy is fucked up. There is no explanation or cause for his violence other than severe psychological issues.
