No Single-Player DLC For Tomb Raider
It’s a common thing nowadays to play a game and then have to fork out more cash later down the line for some story DLC that continues the adventure you paid full price for. Sure, sometimes DLC is expertly crafted and well worth the extra cash, but sometimes it’s a cheap way for publishers to get even more money from you, cutting content that could’ve been included in the game itself and releasing it just a few days after.
This is not the case when it comes to Tomb Raider. While the first multiplayer DLC pack has already been released as a timed exclusive on Xbox 360, Crystal Dynamic has announced that there is no single-player DLC being developed for the title. Global Brand Manager Karl Stewart answered questions during a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, confirming that the studio was focused on providing multiplayer DLC only.

“There are currently no plans in place for any Single Player expansions. All of our DLC is based around the Multiplayer experience for now.”
In a way, this is probably a good thing. While it is sad to hear that Crystal Dynamics is working on DLC for the weakest part of Tomb Raider, it is refreshing to hear that gamers won’t have to open their wallets yet again to experience more of Lara’s story. Hopefully all of their ideas can be used in the probable sequel that this reboot set up perfectly.
Whether or not Crystal Dynamics will announce a sequel is a whole other story though.
