Leaked Star Wars Game To Be A Precursor To Battlefront 3
Last year rumours went around about a leaked Star Wars title called Star Wars: First Assault. It was set to be an XBLA game developed by LucasArts but of course with Disney absorbing LucasArts and LucasFilm, any Star Wars projects have now gone into limbo. Save for Episode VII of course.
Kotaku revealed that First Assault is a downloadable multiplayer shooter, originally set for release this autumn. The game supports up to 16 players—one eight-person team of rebels and one eight-person team of Stormtroopers—as they face off on Star Wars worlds like Bespin and Tatooine.

According to one source supposedly close to the project First Assault is ‘step zero’ for the much rumoured and long awaited Star Wars: Battlefront 3. This implies that it’s a testing bed for elements of Battlefront 3 and if it sells well then you can expect Battlefront 3 to follow not long after.
As with Star Wars 1313, this game is on hold until LucasArts can get a new bearing.
