Dead Space 3 Is Better With Kinect
Electronic Arts has released a brand new trailer for Dead Space 3, which details the game’s Xbox 360 version and all of its Kinect-enabled extras including, wait for it, cooperative voice recognition.
I worry for how many times Visceral Games uses the word “cool” when describing Dead Space 3, and for the inclusion of such unnecessary elements as cover systems, combat rolls, human enemies and of course, co-operative functionality, but nothing says unnecessary quite like Kinect voice-recognition. When it works.

The trailer will show how you can use your voice to do such things as reload, use the locator, use health packs and more. All which can be done with a controller, but just feel “cooler” to do with your voice.
Having recently sampled Mass Effect 3 with Kinect voice recognition, I can say that some games are complimented nicely by the addition. Whether this applies to Dead Space 3, especially in co-operative mode, remains to be seen. And see we shall, when it releases early February.
