Halo 2 May Be Receiving HD Treatment

Following on from the success of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, it’s been rumoured that 343 Industries are planning to give Halo 2 the same HD treatment. According to the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine UK, 343 Industries are busy developing the HD remake as well as finishing up Halo 4.
“Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary.”

No sources or other details were given, and the article did fall underneath the rumour section of the magazine, so don’t take this as solid confirmation. Kotaku also reached out to Microsoft for a comment, receiving the following reply:
“Our focus right now is on developing Halo 4. Beyond that, we do not comment on rumors or speculation.”
A Halo 2 HD remake is probably in the pipeline, but I doubt Microsoft or 343 Industries would risk working on that while Halo 4 still needs finishing. If we are eventually going to get an HD remake, expect it sometime after Halo 4 has released.
