Are You Ready For Unreal Engine 4?

Are You Ready For Unreal Engine 4?

Get ready for something new from Epic Games at next week’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, California.

The Unreal Engine 4 is ready and eager to roll out at the event, and will be shown to both current and potential partners.

There is a non-disclosure agreement that must be signed before anything can be seen, which begs the question of just how juicy this new engine might be.

Earlier this month, Epic’s Mark Rein commented that the newest version of their extremely popular engine was running on systems that he couldn’t “talk about by name.”

    Next generation consoles, perhaps?

It’s all very hush-hush for now and chances are there won’t be much media coverage until they’re ready to reveal it to the world — perhaps at this year’s E3 — but you can rest assured that we will bring you every little morsel of any details that might surface from the GDC next week.

    • AG_Sonday

Whatever Rocksteady’s working on next, I want o see it on Unreal 4.

      • Timothy

So you mean the 3rd Arkham game

    • Albert Botha

Yeah that will be awesome to see the engine. And e3 is gonna be sick this year cannot wait.

The best part of GDC is getting to see awesome new tech like this.  Maybe we’ll get to see Samaritan Part II.

    • sage of the six paths

After the major success that was the Unreal Engine 3, I can’t wait to see the sort of things that will be possible with this, especially (as Brendon mentioned) after seeing Samaritan which used the UE3.

    • Mglionheart

wait, wait and wait that’s all we can do

    • ChancellorAceX

Yay, a new Unreal Engine. I’ve always liked their engines. They run so smoothly and with few if not no glitches

    • Timothy

Like the UE3 before it, the UE4 will probably dominate and be used for like 98.7584937394% of next-gen games.
