What Is The Future For Minecraft On Consoles?

Minecraft designer Markus Persson is holding back on what he’s willing to say about the upcoming Xbox 360 version of the game, though he did share some new details on the project in a recent interview with IGN.
Based on the popular PC version, Minecraft 360 “will be designed to work better on a console and to focus on the types of experiences you expect when playing games on a game console. As an example of something that will change, the crafting needs to be done completely different.”

“I’m trying very hard to make sure we have a setting you can turn on that turns the game into what everyone is joking about; you wave your arms around to mine and use items. It’s just too silly not to include. Punching trees from the comfort of your living room has never been this immersive before.”
So, basically, Markus knows that Minecraft and Kinect will be a ridiculous idea, and will just make people feel even more stupid when performing the gestures in front of the Kinect camera, but he’ll put it in anyway for some laughs. Well, at least he is honest about it. Markus was also question about Minecraft landing on other consoles in the future, such as the PS3 or Wii.
“I have been instructed not to reply to this question, so here’s a picture of a sheep instead:”
Not too sure about the sheep, but that for me is a maybe leaning dangerously close to a probably. I don’t know about you, but for some reason the thought of Minecraft on the Wii U excites me. Let us know your opinions.
