God of War III Is Not The End of God of War

Sony Santa Monica has announced that gamers haven’t seen the last of God of War, despite upcoming, extremely anticipated God of War III being the final game in the trilogy of Kratos. While speaking to Gamervision, John Hight, director of product development at Sony Santa Monica, commented, “This is not the end of God of War.”
“This is definitely the end of the trilogy, but we’re going to continue to do God of War games.”

“We’re going to be very careful about what we do; we’re the keepers of the franchise and we don’t want to see it ruined or polluted,” he continued.
Quite interesting, but I can’t say it comes as a shocker. The God of War franchise is one of the PlayStation’s best, so I had my doubts that they were going to be stopping after God of War III. Still, I was happy to hear John Hight state that they were going to be cautious in their approach and not ruin or pollute the franchise – that’s quite reassuring, and great to hear.
God of War III will release in Japan on the 25th of March 2010 exclusively for the PlayStation 3. We’re still awaiting a confirmed release date for the North American and European versions of the game. Many sources list God of War III as a “March 2010” release, but we can’t pin an exact date just yet.
